A market-intelligence desk for the physical AI buildout. The headline names are the peaks; Breakwise maps what stands behind them: the power, the parts with long lead times, and the companies that depend on each one. Every claim carries its label and its source, and every thesis is written with what would break it, on the day it is written. Formerly Straat.
01 / 04The chain
Most of the buildout sits out of view: in fabs and substations, on launch pads, and in the parts with long lead times that gate all of them. The desk places every basket, constraint and company on one order of stages, from ore and refining through the fab, power and the halls to the models and the demand, and every edge along it carries its source.
The next wave leaves the chain after the chips: actuation, sensing, onboard compute, the bodies, deployment.
02 / 04Evidence
Reproducible from a named function with named inputs.
A formula and its assumptions, both on the line. Never a target.
Read from a filing, with the quote verified word for word before it was stored. A fact the text does not say is refused.
A view without a check yet. Labelled and dated, so a hunch can never pass for a measurement.
03 / 04The film
Each thesis names the line that would break it. When a filing lands, the desk reads it against that line and records what happened, dated and never edited: a correction is a new row that points at the old one. Calls are dated too, and scored when they resolve.
The film runs a minute and a half. It starts on the land and ends on the desk's own record: the lines written before, and the filings that met them.
04 / 04Build
I designed and built all of it: the desk, its interface, the public site, the film and the design system they share. Scheduled agents read, extract, check and draft overnight. Drafts wait for a person, accepted or retired, never merged silently.
The public site is generated from structure alone, and a check that fails the deploy keeps the desk's names and figures off it. The weekly case is free by email; the desk itself opens to the list first.
